A simple interest, government guaranteed, no collateral loan. Students may borrow while in school and begin repayment six months after leaving school or graduating. Borrowing limits vary, depending on your year in school and whether or not the loan is subsidized or unsubsidized.

The Federal Stafford Loan is a government subsidized, or unsubsidized, low-interest loan for undergraduate and graduate college students.
